Something Wrong by Raveny published on 2023-04-19T20:05:47Z A year ago I left my so-called ‘homeland’ I never asked for, for reasons widely known. A month later, settled for some unknown time in Armenia, I started writing this song, using a sketch I composed some years ago. Not that the feeling behind the song was something new, just the moment — uncertainty of unprecedented level. That didn’t help to finish it sooner. A bit less than a year later I spent a few months looking for an appropriate cover art with one visual artist drawing one sketch after another for some months — it all felt wrong: one too local, another too shallow, that one too narrow in meaning, while the song is so global I can’t even imagine. Finally, we found one idea that was kinda resonating — a still person sitting in front of a calm landscape. Because, what can you do with all this? Sit and watch whatever happens next, better somewhere far away from everyone. Then I remembered I had a photo of myself that was fitting this idea perfectly. So, here it is. I was late for the 1-year ‘anniversary’, so it's going to be released on another kinda ‘significant’ day.
